Approximately 103,000 patients are hospitalized annually resulting in approximately 16,500 deaths from NSAIDs alone.


Some effects of NSAIDs include: GI hemorrhage, leaky gut, depletion of vitamin C reserves, inhibition of folic acid, enhancing the formation of leukotrienes, blocking glycosaminoglycan synthesis, slowing fracture healing, & creation of muscle imbalances that aggravate injuries.


EFA imbalance occurs in aspirin, acetaminophen or NSAID use.
