Carboxylated osteocalcin binds to calcium, vitamin K is essential for carboxylation process.
Study Showed:
- Those with the highest levels of vitamin K lived 7 years longer.
- Higher levels of K2 had lowest level of severe aortic calcification & each added level showed 9% fewer cardiac events.
- Inverse association between intake of K2 & prostate cancer.
