Folic Acid Conversion

folate → dihydrofolate → tetrahydrofolate ↔ methylene-THF → 5-methyltetrahydrofolate or

5-MTHF (the activated form of folic acid)


1 out of 3 people has a 5-methyltetrahydrofolate reductase polymorphism.


Identify need by performing Romberg test:

    Systematically taste Folic Acid 800,      Methylfolate Plus, B6 Phosphate & Niacin 100.
