Study of 168 participants, 85 supplemented with B vitamins had a mean rate of brain atrophy after 2 years of .76% vs. 1.08% for the control group.


In the treatment group homocysteine levels greater than 13 had results more dramatic, rate of atrophy was 53% lower.


Low dose supplementation was used:  500 mcg cyanocobalamin, 800 mcg folic acid, & 20 mg of pyridoxine HCL.
